You wonder why I lie awake
Or wrestle in my sleep
When every waking hour I make
More promises to keep

I wonder if you understand
Or even care at all
The life I hold within my hands
Could crumble, break, or fall

I can't sleep
So I can't dream
What to do with the time inbetween

This light within me fades away

Because it seems I never sleep

I never stop the thoughts that might

The world you live in is not how
Reality's dice roll
