Drunken elegance
And stupidity

Too many things
And can't take any more
The way life has thrown you
And teased out your fantasies
Before driving them away
And if you could just
Keep them for your own
They'd stay forever
Hope being better than doubt
But you'd have to see it coming
But you can't think ahead
Can't anticipate
Life changes around you
And you need to decide
Between your mind
And your heart
And the feelings in both
But you stun them to silence
Before they can make a sound.
